New York Woman Arrested in Wyckoff, Found in Possession of 47 Fraudulent Credit Cards

The woman fled CVS after an employee questioned her, but was met in the parking lot by Wyckoff police.

A New York woman was arrested in Wyckoff Tuesday after attempting to use a fraudulent credit card at CVS Pharmacy and possessing over 45 fraudulent credit cards.

Melissa A. Menifield, 21, of New York, fled CVS on Nov. 11 when a CVS employee started to question her but was met by Wyckoff police in the parking lot.

Menifield was found in possession of 47 fraudulent credit cards that had been manufactured in her actual name.

Menifield is suspected to be working as a ”runner” for a fraudulent credit card ring. Runners use fraudulent cards to purchase gift cards and then provide the stolen goods back for a fee.

Menifield was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, theft, and criminal attempt, all 3rd degree crimes.
