NJ Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Child In Bergen County

A Jersey City man is charged with sexually assaulting a Fairview child on two separate occasions, the Bergen County Prosecutor announced.

FAIRVIEW, NJ — A Jersey City man is facing sexual assault and child endangerment charges after he sexually assaulted a child under 13 on two occasions in Bergen County, prosecutors announced.

Alejandro Morales Alonzo was arrested on Nov. 5 after a short investigation into reports of an alleged sexual assault on a child received by the Fairview Police Department. That investigation confirmed that Morales Alonzo sexually assaulted a child in Fairview on at least two occasions, prosecutors said.

He was taken to Bergen County Jail on Friday, where he awaits a first appearance in court. Morales Alonzo's full charges include: two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, one count of second-degree sexual assault by contact and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
