Pair Arrested After Cocaine, Baby Found In SUV: Wyckoff Police
Crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia were 'in plain sight' and the baby was in the back seat, police said.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Two people were arrested after police found crack cocaine in a vehicle with a baby in the back seat, police announced Tuesday.
Officer Robert Schlossberg stopped a black SUV for equipment violations on Route 208 North at 9 p.m. March 6, said Lt. Joseph Soto.
Schlossberg saw suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the SUV, Soto said. A baby girl was in a car seat in the back seat.

Driver Jamie L. Vogt, 33, of Kinnelon and passenger Robert Knight, 32, of Wanaque, were charged with endangering the welfare of a child, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, failure to turn over a controlled dangerous substance to law enforcement and possession of paraphernalia with intent to use, Soto said.
The state Division of Child Protection and Permanency was contacted and responded to Wyckoff Police Headquarters.

Vogt and Knight were later released pending a court date, Soto said.
