Person Hit, Killed By NJ Transit Train In Ramsey: Reports
The person was struck by a Main Line train around 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, reports said. Delays were reported on multiple lines.
RAMSEY, NJ — A person died Wednesday after they were struck by a NJ Transit in Ramsey, according to multiple reports citing transportation officials.
Main Line train 1109 hit the victim around 9:40 a.m., according to a Bergen Record report citing a NJ Transit public information officer. Reports said the train left Hoboken around 8:35 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Suffern, New York, shortly before 9:50 a.m.
The person's name was not released.

About 20 commuters and crew members were on the train, the Record reported. No other injuries were reported.
A NJ Advance Media report said the Main, Bergen County and Port Jervis lines experienced up to 45-minute delays Wednesday morning.
