An 84-year-old man was not injured Monday when he drove his car into a pool at his daughter’s home in Wyckoff, police said.
The Cliffside Park man arrived at the Joshua Lane home on Labor Day at 1:21pm. After driving to the end of the driveway, he may have mistakenly stepped on the gas instead of the brake, police said.
The 2006 Audi A-6 crashed through a fence and went into the pool in the rear yard. The vehicle was also occupied by a 79-year-old woman friend, and family members jumped into the pool to assist them in getting out of the mostly submerged vehicle.
