Wyckoff Police Catch Intoxicated Man Driving 104 MPH On Route 208: Authorities
Police found an alleged shoplifter hiding in another store.

WYCKOFF, NJ - A man was caught driving while intoxicated, going more than 100 miles per hour on Route 208 Sunday, police said.
Wyckoff police clocked Brendan P. Dolan driving 104 miles per hour just before midnight Monday, said Chief Benjamin C. Fox.
When Dolan passed a police car, it nearly rear-ended a vehicle in the right-hand lane, Fox said.

After a breath test at police headquarters, Dolan was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, speeding, and following too closely, Fox said.
Dolan is scheduled to appear in Glen Rock Municipal Court Feb. 27.

- Sgt. Michael Ragucci, Detective. Ryan Noon, and Patrolman Michael Teegan responded to Stop & Shop on a report that store personnel were chasing an alleged shoplifter who fled the store, Fox said. The officers located the man’s discarded hat and coat, Fox said.
Police found the man, Jared J. Ruban, 40, of Ringwood, hiding in another store; Ruban was arrested and charged with shoplifting, Fox said.
- A West Main Street business reported the theft of a ladder that was removed from one of the company trucks parked in the parking lot Feb. 4. Police determined that a 32-foot extension ladder valued at $300 had been stolen during the night. Patrolman Michael Teegan investigated.
