Police Find Handgun In Suspicious Vehicle, Arrest Connecticut Man

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — A Connecticut man was arrested after police found a handgun in his vehicle late Thursday night, authorities said.

Dennis Ryan, 36, of Jewett City, Connecticut, was arrested after police investigated a suspicious vehicle on Franklin Avenue at 11:13 p.m., said Capt. John Bakelaar.

Ryan was charged with illegal possession of a handgun, possession of a marijuana, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail, Bakelaar said.
