Proceeds from Christian Health Care Center's Gala Will be used to Make Important Renovations

Every fall, Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) holds its A Celebration of Excellence gala, CHCC's largest fundraising event.

Every fall, Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) holds its A Celebration of Excellence gala, CHCC’s largest fundraising event. While it is not an annual practice to honor individuals or organizations, CHCC has identified and recognized key community leaders for their legacy of service, leadership, and commitment to our communities.

This year’s honorees will be Senator Kevin J. O’Toole, R-40, and LAN Associates of Midland Park. A Celebration of Excellence will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at The Venetian in Garfield. All funds raised from the event will benefit significant renovations to CHCC’s Longview Assisted Living Residence, including The Courtyard – a dedicated space for memory support and early dementia/Alzheimer’s.

The Longview has been home to hundreds of seniors in our community since its opening close to 20 years ago, when assisted living was still a new concept. Today, The Longview is a warm, comforting environment where residents requiring assistance with various aspects of daily living can remain active and feel secure.

While the services currently provided at The Longview are award-winning and high quality, its current environment needs to complement its excellent care and programs. The renovations of Longview will make this home-like residence more suitable for the changing and growing needs of its residents, and to optimize quality of life through health, healing, and wellness. Our superior, award-winning care, coupled with an updated safe and beautiful environment, will allow us to better serve seniors for decades to come. These major renovations at the Longview include many of its well-used common areas, such as: an expanded Great Room, a more spacious Dining Room and Private Dining Room, a distinctive Village Square Café, and an enlarged multi-purpose Activity Room. Other improvements will include a new reception area, resident lounges, wellness and rehab center, library, chaplain’s office, and more. With more and more seniors experiencing memory impairment and dementia-like symptoms, our goal is to also add additional rooms to the Courtyard at Longview and provide new furnishings to existing resident rooms.

Ticket and sponsorship opportunities for A Celebration of Excellence are only available for a limited time. For complete event information visit ChristianHealthCare.org/ACelebrationOfExcellence or call (201) 848-5796.
