Ramapo Indian Hills Interim Superintendent Resigns
In a short letter to the district, Board of Education President John Kinney announced the resignation of Bruce Watson, effective Nov. 5.
OAKLAND, NJ — A search for a new interim superintendent will begin over the course of the next couple of days after current Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District Interim Superintendent Bruce Watson resigned abruptly.
The news was shared with the district on Sept. 9 in a short letter from Board President John Kinney, which also announced the impending departure of Business Administrator Frank Ceurvels.
Watson's resignation is effective Nov. 5, while Ceurvels will retire after "many years of dedicated service" effective Jan. 1, 2021.

"A search for an Interim Superintendent and an Interim School Business Administrator will commence immediately," wrote Kinney, who did not immediately respond for a request to comment.
The district shifted to a remote restart about a week before the beginning of classes, and delayed in-person learning until Sept. 24.

School started for students — who live in Wyckoff, Oakland and Franklin Lakes — on Tuesday.
