Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital at Christian Health Care Center Rated in the 100th Percentile for Patient Satisfaction

Staff at Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital at Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) in Wyckoff recently celebrated receiving excellent patient-satisfaction scores in both the adult and geriatric units, placing in the 100th percentile when compared to other similar facilities across the nation. Mental-health outcomes are measured using a comprehensive patient-satisfaction survey instrument which allows patients and their families to rate their hospital experience in varied domains to include overall satisfaction, helpfulness of medical and nursing staff, and treatment environment, to name a few. Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital is a fully accredited 58-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital licensed by the State of New Jersey and accredited by The Joint Commission.

CHCC was founded in 1911 by a group of deacons of the Reformed tradition who sought to address a topic that was rarely spoken of at that time: mental illness. Having seen the thoughtless and sometimes inhumane ways in which mentally ill people were treated, this group of visionaries vowed to create a place where they would be cared for with love and compassion based on Christian principles.

Through the years, CHCC has maintained and expanded that original vision as we have created specialized programs to care for people of any age, with a wide range of diagnoses. And we still believe in the value and dignity of all people and seek to meet them where they are, with a team of highly trained, dedicated professionals who provide loving, compassionate treatment and care.

In addition to Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital, we offer mental-health services through three additional programs. Christian Health Care Counseling Center provides individual, family, and group counseling for children to seniors in a supportive environment. Ramapo Ridge Partial Hospitalization Program is a voluntary program that provides short-term, outpatient treatment to adults experiencing severe symptoms.
