The Real Team for Wyckoff

The best candidates for the Wyckoff Township Committee

My wife and I have resided in Wyckoff for 58 years and have raised our five children here. It is not an overstatement when we say that we love this town and our deeply concerned about its welfare.

We recently received a piece of campaign literature from the Democrat candidate for Township Committee Carla Pappalardo. The obvious intention of the piece is to deceive the citizens of Wyckoff by implying that she and Republican candidate Tim Shanley are a team. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you don't believe me, ask Tim. There is only one team running for the Township Committee and that is the Republican team of Tom Madigan and Tim Shanley.

Tom Madigan has been active in leadership roles in the community for over 25 years in addition to his current service on the Township Committee as finance committee chairman. A few examples: Ramapo-Indian Hills Board of Education, Wyckoff Parks and Recreation Foundation, and Rotary. Tim Shanley is lead member of the Township Committee Ridgewood Water subcommittee and is very active in the Wyckoff Education Foundation. Together they introduced a very important ordinance prohibiting marijuana and drug paraphernalia distribution and sales in Wyckoff. That is the way a real team works.

So, my message to all registered voters in Wyckoff is that Tom and Tim have clearly demonstrated by concrete actions and not empty words why they deserve to be re-elected to the Township Committee. They certainly have our votes and I hope yours too.
