Rep. Gottheimer Wants To Talk Taxes, Infrastructure With Trump

The 5th District congressman is requesting a meeting with the president to discuss his Problem Solvers Caucus' priorities.

WYCKOFF, N.J. — Rep. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) wants to sit down with President Donald Trump and discuss what he thinks are two important bipartisan issues: tax reform and infrastructure investment.

Gottheimer is co-chairman of the Problem Solvers Caucus, a 35-member group composed of congressional representatives on both sides of the political aisle who work together to find solutions to bipartisan issues like decreasing taxes and improving infrastructure.

"Addressing either issue, on a broad bipartisan basis, could give a significant boost to our economy," the caucus wrote a letter to Trump, "and provide Americans with confidence that government can work for them."
