Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox GOYAns compete with amazing results!

Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church located in Wyckoff, NJ was represented by the GOYAns (Greek Orthodox Youth Association) in a Sights and Sounds competition in Westfield, NJ on March 4th 2017. The GOYAns competed in various categories such as Greek Dance, Greek Singing, English Singing, Choral Speaking, Instrumental Group, Singing and Instrumental solos, along with submitting literature, poetry, drawings, photographs, paintings, sculptures and many more mixed media pieces.

Saint Nicholas placed in each category they competed in! They won, for the first time, 1st Place in Choral Speaking! They won 3rd Place in Greek Dance, 3rd Place in Greek Singing and 3rd Place in English Singing. The Saint Nicholas Church placed 4th overall, from all of the 15 churches in New Jersey that competed! This was the highest ranking Saint Nicholas has placed in, thus far!
We congratulate the wonderful GOYAns and their amazing coaches and directors! The GOYAns again participated at a showcase of their talents at the Sights and Sounds Showcase in front of 125 family and friends, at Saint Nicholas Church on March 12, 2017. It was a fun-filled day and ended with many joining in to dance a traditional Greek dance, a Kalamatiano! BRAVO to all the GOYAns of Saint Nicholas Church in Wyckoff, NJ!
