Serial Shoplifter Stole From Wyckoff Business 4 Times: Police

The man reportedly stole a large amount of frozen seafood.

WYCKOFF, NJ — A serial shoplifter was arrested recently after he stole a large amount of frozen seafood from a township business, police said.

Sgt. Michael DeMaio responded to a local business at 2 p.m. Sept. 15 about a shoplifting, said Lt. Joseph Soto.

DeMaio was told someone took a large amount of frozen seafood from the store and that store security recognized the man from previous shoplifting incidents, Soto said.

Detective Sgt. Kevin Kasak received information from Ridgewood and Hackensack about a similar suspect. An investigation led to Luca M. Ferrigno, 48, of Elmwood Park, being charged with shoplifting from the store on Aug. 17 and 25 and Sept. 1 and 15, Soto said.
