FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. — A car was stolen from a Tomahawk Lane residence and several more throughout the borough were burglarized Tuesday, police said.
The owner of a 2014 Audi reported the vehicle stolen to police Tuesday, said Capt. John Bakelaar. The vehicle has been stolen overnight, was unlocked, and there were "several items" left inside, Bakelaar said.
Also sometime Tuesday night, several unlocked vehicles on Shawnee Drive, Valley Road, Arapaho Trail, Franklin Lake Road, and High Mountain Road were burglarized, the captain said. In several incidents, nothing was stolen.
