The child was not hurt, police said.

WYCKOFF, N.J. — A young child was unhurt when an SUV rolled down a hill Tuesday and into a utility pole, knocking it down.
Township police and firefighters responded to Van Schaik Lane and determined that a mother parked the vehicle with the child inside it, said Acting Police Chief David Murphy. The mother got out and went to the passenger's side, but realized the door was locked, Murphy said.
As she was going back to the driver's side, the SUV rolled down the street with the child inside it; the mom tried to get into the vehicle as it rolled, but couldn't, Murphy said.
