Video Camera Catches Wyckoff Man Burglarizing Home: Police

Jaime Bauer was arrested after the victims installed the camera after items were taken from them in the past, police said.

WYCKOFF, NJ — A township man was charged with burglarizing a Crescent Avenue home Thursday after a security camera filmed him breaking into the home, police said.

Jaime D. Bauer, 29, was charged with burglary and theft after police investigated the burglary, said Lt. Joseph Soto.

Sgt. Michael Demaio responded to the house at 7:44 p.m. on the reported theft, Soto said. The residents said they had items go missing from their home in the past, he said.

The residents installed a security camera and, on Thursday, the camera filmed Bauer going into the home and removing items, Soto said.

Bauer is scheduled to appear in court, the lieutenant said.
