WATCH: Wyckoff YMCA Honors Veterans Virtually

The annual Veterans Day celebrations were canceled at the YMCA, but that didn't stop the organization from celebrating them anyway.

WYCKOFF, NJ — COVID-19 has now canceled both of the annual events honoring veterans at the Wyckoff Family YMCA.

But on Veterans Day, the organization still found a way to honor former and current service members.

"Even though we've been apart... you are deep within our hearts. Especially today, on Veterans Day, we are humbled to simply say THANK YOU from the Board of Directors, Members, and Staff of the Wyckoff Family YMCA for your unconditional and unwavering support of the United States of America," the YMCA wrote, in a Facebook post.

"Your acts of duty, honor, courage, and patriotism as soldiers, are gifts that will continue to ensure our freedom for generations to come. And, as we place our hands over hearts in solemn support of our great nation, and the American flag it represents, we are deeply inspired by your selfless example, inspiring us to give back to our Community, our Country, and above all, in your honor, to always strive to do and be our very best."
