What does the Wyckoff YMCA Mean to You?
Wyckoff YMCA Leadership honored for leadership and strong commitment to their community through enrichment opportunities for all ages.
At its annual gala, A Celebration of Excellence, Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) will proudly honor the Wyckoff Family YMCA Board of Directors, Executive Director Joy K. Vottero, and Associate Director Joyce Kwiatkowski with The David F. Bolger Award for Service and Leadership. Along with fellow honoree Atlantic Stewardship Bank, the Wyckoff Y leadership has been selected for its legacy of service to the community.
The Wyckoff Family Y offers extensive enrichment opportunities for all ages. From young children and young adults to the active older adult community, the Wyckoff Family Y offers something for everyone. With a true focus on family, the Wyckoff Family Y is more than just a gym and swim – it offers outreach to underprivileged neighbors, programs for children and adults with special needs, and support to families facing challenges from a traumatic event.
The Wyckoff Y leadership is unique in its foresight and dedication to bringing programs to the community that address health and wellness needs far beyond what can be accomplished in a fitness center. Wyckoff Y Executive Director Joy K. Vottero shared, “Wyckoff Y members not only enjoy a beautiful facility, and health and wellness benefits, but they understand that they are part of a bigger picture.” Associate Director Joyce Kwiatkowski noted, “We strive to develop programs and facilities that our families need for their spirits, minds, and bodies.”

Friends of the Wyckoff Family YMCA and local residents agree, the Y is a vibrant organization and the dedication and passion of its leadership are true assets to the community. Nancy Drabik, former Wyckoff Mayor and member of the Wyckoff Y Board of Directors, shared, “The Y has a talent for anticipating and addressing needs. In a way, the name is misleading because it goes beyond Wyckoff and helps anyone in need.” With campuses and programs in Wyckoff and the surrounding area, the Y aims to reach all residents throughout Bergen County.
Douglas A. Struyk, CPA, LNHA, President and CEO of CHCC, shared, “Along with Christian Health Care Center, Atlantic Stewardship Bank and the Wyckoff Family YMCA share a deep commitment to the well-being of our communities. Our honorees this year epitomize servant leadership and are so deserving of the David F. Bolger Award for Service and Leadership.”
