Why I Am Running For Wyckoff Township Board of Education

“Putting Students First”

My name is Brett Traficant and I am running for the Wyckoff Board of Education. My campaign slogan means that every decision I make will be focused on using our tax dollars in the most beneficial way possible for our students. I am invested in our kids’ success. I am committed to ensuring that our kids are prepared and have the foundation they need to enter high school and are not just taught to tests. I will help the Board to look at different means to continue improving our kid’s education while working to keep costs down. I bring a new viewpoint and I am passionate about our town and school system.

In my professional life, I have been responsible for helping launch cutting edge medical devices that help make people’s lives better. Throughout my 19 + year career as an engineer and certified Project Manager I have been asked to take on new roles, quickly assess situations and work with teams to improve the overall function of departments. I have been responsible for hiring and promoting talent, managing to multi-million dollar budgets, and setting the strategy for my department. I have proven myself to be able to build teams, develop improved processes, and increase productivity by reducing waste in spending.

My wife, Christine and I have two sons in the Wyckoff school system, and a daughter who will be entering school in 2 years. We believe Wyckoff is a wonderful town with great schools. I intend to work hard to make them even better. I am asking for your vote on November 5th. Please reach out to me with any questions, ideas, or concerns.
