Wyckoff Avenue Partially Closed For Tree Removal

Breaking: Work is being done between Cedar Hill Avenue and Snyder Road.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Trees are being removed on Wyckoff Avenue Thursday following the brief, but powerful, storm Tuesday.

Work is being done between Cedar Hill Avenue and Snyder Road. Part of Wyckoff Avenue will remain open while work is done, but motorists should be careful when traveling on the road. A detour for the closed part of the road is posted. Motorists should allow for extra time when driving through the area, officials said.

Branches and utility poles are down on the following streets: Caldwell Drive between Cottage Road and Cedar Hill Avenue, Colony Court, James Way between Cedar Hill and Paine Road, and Paine Road between James Way and Calvin Court.

About 10 township homes are still without power Thursday morning, according to information from Orange & Rockland and PSE&G.
