Wyckoff Cop Honored By County Traffic Safety Organization

Lt. Charles Van Dyk is overseeing the department while Chief Benjamin C. Fox is on paid administrative leave.

WYCKOFF, N.J. — Lt. Charles Van Dyk was honored by the Bergen County Traffic Safety Officers Association recently.

The association is a non-profit group of police officers and civilians who specialize in the field of traffic safety. The association's goal is to keep police officers informed of the laws, the latest court rulings, legislation, training and technology pertaining to traffic safety in Bergen County. Van Dyk is the organization's treasurer.

Van Dyk is the officer in charge of the department while Chief Benjamin C. Fox is on paid administrative leave while the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office investigates racial profiling allegations brought against him and the Wyckoff Police Department.
