Wyckoff Library to Hold 'Jersey Joke' Talk with Rutgers Professor Sept. 18
Rutgers University professor, Michael Aaron Rockland, will discuss the roots of the "Jersey joke" and why New Jersey deserves more respect.

The Wyckoff Public Library and the Speakers Bureau of the New Jersey Council for Humanities will sponsor “The Jersey Joke: It’s Long and Complicated History,” a talk by Michael Aaron Rockland, Ph.D, on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Wyckoff Public Library.
Rockland, a Rutgers University professor, will discuss the roots of the “Jersey joke” and why New Jersey deserves much more respect.
Professor Rockland, who founded Rutgers University’s American Studies Department in 1969, is the author of 14 books, is a frequent worldwide lecturer and a regular contributor to “New Jersey Monthly” magazine.
