Wyckoff Man Charged With Insurance Fraud

Christopher J. Cioffi, 32, allegedly altered a certificate to show that his towing company, Mach 1 Towing, was insured.

WYCKOFF, NJ — A township man was arrested and charged with insurance fraud recently, police said.

Christopher J. Cioffi, 32, was arrested after a police investigation revealed that he allegedly altered an insurance certificate to show that his towing company, Mach 1 Towing, was insured, Lt. Joseph Soto stated.

Cioffi was charged with forgery, uttering a forge instrument, falsifying or tampering with records, in addition to the insurance fraud offense.

Cioffi was released form police custody pending a court appearance, Soto said.
