Wyckoff Mom Uses Facebook Talk Show To Tell Positive Stories
Marci Hopkins uses Facebook live to tell stories that empower and inspire others.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Marci Hopkins understands the power of the internet to be a change for good.
Hopkins is the creator and host of "Coffee With Marci," a talk show she broadcasts on Facebook live.
"I knew so many women who were giving back and helping others," Hopkins said. "I wanted to give back to the community and highlight women, entrepreneurs, nonprofits and others who are making a difference."

Hopkins, a mother of two, has an extensive background in television and media. She was raised in Houston, Texas and worked in on-air promotions for FX Network. She moved to Wyckoff 13 years ago and took improvisation training. She appeared in several Discovery network programs, independent films, web series, commercials and television pilots.
Hopkins interviewed two women who wanted to create a safe haven for abused women and children. Someone saw the show and within a week, the facility opened.

She interviewed the founder of Beautiful Self, a breast cancer survivor who helps other cancer survivors "find their beautiful selves inside and out," Hopkins said.
She has also interviewed local entrepreneurs and business owners.
"These are everyday people who decided they wanted to go after their dreams," Hopkins said. "I want to spread what is going on in the community, tell these business owners' stories and help build up their customer bases."
