Wyckoff Police Arrest Franklin Lakes Man After He Was Seen 'Swerving' On Route 208

Wyckoff police arrested a Franklin Lakes man after he was seen “swerving” on Route 208, police said.

According to police:

On July 31 at 9:06 p.m., Ptl. William Plisich was traveling north on Rt. 208 in a marked patrol vehicle when he was passed by another vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle was swerving out of the lane of travel and at one point ran off the road and struck a guardrail on the highway. The vehicle continued on and exited at Russell Avenue where it was stopped. Robert

Robert B. Burnett, 46, of Franklin Lakes was arrested for DWI. He was brought into police headquarters where he refused a breath test. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, and failure to maintain his lane of travel.
