Wyckoff Police Catch Man With Handgun, Drugs During Traffic Stop
Jason A. Carota, 29, was arrested following a traffic stop on Rt. 208 North, police said.

WYCKOFF, NJ — A Pennsylvania man was arrested following a traffic stop where police found handgun.
Jason A. Carolta, 29, of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, was stopped by Officer Michael Flim just before 3 a.m. Tuesday, said Lt. Joseph Soto. Flim noticed several motor vehicle violations and stopped Carolta.
Carolta was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, improper maintenance of vehicle lamps and having an unregistered vehicle, Soto said.

Carolta was processed and remanded to the Bergen County Jail, Soto said.
