Wyckoff Police Help Catch Accused Baby Formula Thief
Midland Park Police chief helps apprehend the 28-year-old man.

WYCKOFF, N.J. — Wyckoff police helped apprehend a man accused of stealing baby formula from a supermarket Monday.
An off-duty police officer saw the man steal the baby formula and, when he confronted him about it, the man fled the store, said Midland Park Police Chief Michael Powderley.
Wyckoff Detective Sgt. Joseph Soto and Powderley helped apprehend the man, a 28-year-old Midland Park resident, the chief said.

Police found a crack pipe in the man's possession while he was being processed; he was charged with shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia, Powderley said.
The man had several arrest warrants out on him in Bloomingdale totaling $700, police said. Bloomingdale police were contacted and took custody of the man.
