Wyckoff Police Perform CPR, Revive Unresponsive 3-Year-Old
The boy was transferred to Valley Hospital from the Wyckoff YMCA after officers performed CPR and he began breathing on his own, police say.
WYCKOFF, NJ — Wyckoff Police were able to revive a young boy who was unresponsive at the township's YMCA Friday.
Police say the 3-year-old was being treated by YMCA staff when they arrived and found him not breathing and cyanotic, or with a blue discoloration of the skin.
Officers Robert Schlossberg and Michael Scalise performed CPR on the boy, and he began breathing on his own again shortly after, police say.

He was transported to Valley Hospital by paramedics from that hospital and the Wyckoff Ambulance Corps.
"The Wyckoff Police Department would like to extend our best wishes for a full recovery to the boy and his family," said the department, in a news release.
