Wyckoff Police Tackle DWI, Arrest 5 Individuals in Two Weeks
In five incidents, ranging from Oct. 31 to Nov. 11, numerous individuals have been arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated.

Wyckoff police have cracked down on DWI’s, arresting five individuals in separate incidents in the last two weeks.
Christopher T. Harrington, 36, of Wyckoff was arrested Oct. 31 at 2:50 a.m. after his vehicle had been clocked speeding on Franklin Avenue. Following the traffic stop, Harrington was arrested for DWI and was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding and failure to keep to the right after taking a breath test at police headquarters. He was released to his wife and is scheduled to appear in municipal court on Nov. 19.
Jason W. Sanders, 42, of West Milford, was pulled over by Wyckoff police just after midnight Nov. 1 for speeding on Route 208. Sanders was arrested for DWI and was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after a breath test at police headquarters. He was released to his wife and will appear in municipal court.

Mariam Gindin, 57, of Staten Island was arrested for a DWI after driving erratically on Route 208 just after 1 a.m. on Nov. 1. Following a breath test, Gindin was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, careless driving and failure to obey marked travel lanes. She was released to a friend and will appear in municipal court.
Wyckoff police responded to Sicomac Avenue near the border of Franklin Lakes just after midnight Nov. 8 on a report that a car had struck a utility pole. The driver, Lucas J. Franco, 23, of Wyckoff was arrested for DWI and following a breath test, he was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, possession of marijuana and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. He was released to his mother and will appear in municipal court.

Christian B. McAuley, 36, of Wyckoff was arrested at 12:09 a.m. on Nov. 11 after several residents contacted Wyckoff Police reporting they heard a vehicle strike a light pole on Red Rock Road and watched as the vehicle left the scene. Wyckoff police located the car parked in a driveway on nearby Bridle Path. McAuley was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash. He was released to his father and will appear in municipal court.
