Wyckoff Stage 2 Water Restrictions: What You Need To Know

WYCKOFF, NJ — A stage two water restriction is in effect in Wyckoff throughout the summer.
According to the township, the stage two restriction is in place because summer water consumption is greater that what Ridgewood Water's supply system can sustain.
The restrictions help to ensure a sufficient water reserve for firefighting and other emergencies, according to the township.

These restrictions, if followed, will reduce the likelihood that more severe controls will be needed to keep a sufficient water reserve.
Here's what that means for you:

- Odd numbered addresses can irrigate on Tuesday and Saturday only
- Even numbered addresses can irrigate on Wednesday and Sunday only
- No irrigation is allowed on Monday, Thursday or Friday
- Irrigation can be performed before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
There is an exception to this rule, according to the township.
Irrigation is allowed on any day before 10 a.m. and after 6 p.m. if using a handheld hose or drip irrigation system. A smart watering exemption can only be obtained at the office of Ridegewood Water.
