Wyckoff Woman Admits Starting Fire At Former Home: Police
Carolyn M. Kaetz, 54, was charged with aggravated arson.

WYCKOFF, NJ — A woman was charged with aggravated arson after admitting to police she started a fire at her home earlier this year, police announced.
Carolyn M. Kaetz, 54, admitted to Detective Sgt. Kevin Kasak June 12 that she started a fire at her former residence on Huntington Court on March 6, Lt. Joseph Soto said. She was charged during an investigation into the fire by local authorities.
Firefighters responded to the home and found heavy smoke on the house's second floor, fire officials said. Firefighters found the fire in a bedroom in the back of the house and extinguished it.

The house was uninhabitable following the fire and condemned while local authorities investigated.
Kaetz was charged with second-degree aggravated arson and taken to the Bergen County Jail, Soto said.
