- The City of Albuquerque was named the winning bidder for Santa Barbara Park in Martineztown. The city purchased Santa Barbara Park for $60,000. "The City has achieved our goal to own Santa Barbara Park," Dave Simon, director of Parks and Recreation, said. "The park is so important to the community and we look forward to preserving it for generations to come." (KOB)
- Schools are no exception to the pandemic-induced labor shortage that is being seen throughout the country. Albuquerque Public Schools has been looking to fill hundreds of jobs and one of the most important is teacher positions. When it comes to teachers, APS says they are reaching out to parents who may be interested in becoming substitute teachers and recruiting education students from the University of New Mexico and Central New Mexico Community College. - The Bernalillo County Clerk's Office set up in Civic Plaza on Tuesday for National Voter Registration Day to get New Mexicans ready for the upcoming local elections, as absentee ballots will start arriving in mailboxes. (KOAT New Mexico)
