  1. Albuquerque Community Safety receives national attention for addressing societal issues with social workers instead of law enforcement. The new department, created in August of 2021, has received more than 1,500 calls for service. Director Mariela Ruiz-Angel hopes to increase that number until it reaches 40,000 calls a year.   2. A man was shot after stealing tools from an Albuquerque home at 2:00 AM yesterday morning. The man's body was found in the middle of Montgomery Blvd by Albuquerque Police. More updates will be given as the story develops. (KRQE)
  3. New Mexico is facing its first ever 'blood crisis'. There is currently a one day supply of blood at Albuquerque hospitals, which is lower compared to the usual three to four day supply. Officials are urging our community to donate blood. Each donor will be entered into a drawing for a chance at winning a $5,000 prepaid gift card. (KRQE)
