Here are the top stories today in Albuquerque:
- Albuquerque police found a dead woman in a northeast apartment building at about 10 a.m. Sunday. APD’s Homicide Unit is investigating the death, and the name of the victim and suspect are currently unknown. (KRQE News 13)
- On Saturday, New Mexico search and rescue crews rescued 21 people who were stuck on tram cars. The 21 people were started overnight in two tram cars after an iced-over cable caused the cars to get stuck high up in the Sandia Mountains overlooking Albuquerque. (KRQE News 13)
- Police say Albuquerque homicides broke a record that was set in 2019. As of December 27, the city had a total of 108 homicide cases for the year, and 112 homicide victims. The record of 80 homicides recorded was the previous record in 2018. (Newsbreak)
