Albuquerque Public Schools: Getting Your W-2 Online

Note: The program that allows employees to get their W-2 online (Lawson) is protected by a firewall because it contains a lot of sensitive information including social security numbers. This means you need to be on the APS network or have VPN access to "opt-in" for the online program.

  • If you are able to access the site to opt-in online, please do so. Instructions are below. 
  • You only have to opt-in once, so if you already did this, you're good to go.  
  • Employees who opt-in will be notified as soon as the online W-2 is posted in Lawson and available to view and access sometime before Jan. 31. 
  • Opt-In: Gives the ability to print your own W-2
  • Opt-Out: You won't have the ability to print your own W-2 and will receive regular printed W-2 by mail.
  • Click on Authorization Provided
  • Click on Print Test. A sample W-2 will pop up to verify viewing/printing
  • If the W-2 is successfully printed/viewed, click Yes to continue
  • Review Compliance message
  • Click on I Agree to continue the process to opt-in
  • Confirm/validate e-mail address
  • To Opt-In, click Yes
  • To Opt-Out, click No
  • To confirm click Submit

A green checkmark confirms Web Delivery W-2 Setup is complete.

Note: Employees can go back and change their decision to opt-in or opt-out.

  • Click on My Documents
  • Click on W-2s
  • Click on the W-2 for the current tax year 
  • Click View Selected
  • W-2 will open to either view or print
  • Log out of Document-Self Service and close the browser when finished.
