- The Federal Bureau of Investigation has allegedly uncovered an Arizona to Albuquerque drug operation. According to the department, an Arizona-based white power extremist prison gang dealing illegal drugs and firearms has just expanded into the Albuquerque region. The report comes after an 18-month investigation meant to uncover why the city has become such an attractive illegal drug distribution destination. Click the link to read the full report. - The Downtown Growers' Market is returning to Robinson Park for the 26th year. This is the first year since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic that the market has no medical restrictions. Despite this, unvaccinated participants are encouraged to wear a mask. The market is open every Saturday starting at 8:00 a.m. (KOB)
- The Balloon Museum is indicating two new pilots into the hall of fame during an Albuquerque ceremony. Dr. Carol Rymer-Davis and Vincent Leys will be inducted at the end of September for their contributions to ballooning culture. Rymer-Davis spent much of her life in Albuquerque before dying in an Adriatic Sea crash. (KRQE News 13)
