First, today's weather:
Breezy in the afternoon. High: 57 Low: 30.
Here are the top three stories in Albuquerque today:
- Albuquerque police are currently investigating three homicides over just a 12 hour period. The first one took place in SW Albuquerque on Rainwater Rd. Wednesday evening; the second around the same time at Alburqurque Inn; and the third early Thursday near San Pedro Drive. No suspects have been named yet and the names of the victims have not been released. (KOAT New Mexico)
- The City of Albuquerque is seeking to hire 911 operators and dispatchers. As of now, Albuquerque is short 12 dispatchers and seven operators. The Albuquerque Police Department has increased the pay by $2 for each position to fill these positions. (KRQE News 13)
- All Albuquerque Public Schools canceled Thursday classes due to a cyberattack. The district announce schools will remain closed today, Friday, Jan. 13, citing safety concerns. The cyberattack caused teachers to lose access to the student information system. (KRQE News 13)
