Come and get primed for you Independence Day festivities with a free patriotic concert by the Albuquerque Concert Band.
Join the band and one of our new conductors, Col. Jim Keene-U.S. Army, Ret, as we perform your Fourth of July favorites such as America the Beautiful, God Bless America, -always a crowd favorite-The Stars and Stripes Forever, and more!
There will be a food truck available but picnics are welcome. Bring family, bring friends, bring water-as it'll probably be hot!

Join the Las Arañas Spinners &amp; Weavers Guild for a celebration of fiber arts featuring talented weavers, spinners, and fiber artisans. Shop, taste, and explore a variety of handmade crafts ranging from the essentials to the extravagant in a vibrant community atmosphere. Sales run from Jun 4-7th from 10 am - 4 pm, daily, free parking and free admission. Three venues in one---Baskets of Africa, The Natural Twist, and Las Aranas Fiber Fling Pop-up.THURSDAY&nbsp;ONLY-Presentations on Inkle Weaving, Spinning Wool, Basket Weaving, Growing Cotton, Combing Fiber, and Tapestry, beginning at 10:30, hourly, ending with last presentation at 3:30 pm. In addition to our Route 66 Centennial feature, you'll find lots of great gently used fiction and nonfiction of all genres as well as children’s books, art, CDs, DVDs, vinyl, and more.The Friends of the Public Library is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports the library by providing funding for programs such as Summer Reading and staff development.Our Monthly Book Sales are held on the second Saturday of every month, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, in the Main Library's Lower Level. This sale boasts more than 25,000 items, all at 70–90% off list price. Paperbacks start at just 25 cents each!
