  1. One person was taken to the hospital in serious condition after a shooting in southwest Albuquerque. Police say they were called to the area of 2300 Diamond Mesa Trail SW on reports of a shooting early Sunday morning. Detectives are investigating the situation. (KRQE News 13)
  2. A popular Albuquerque food truck is opening a restaurant space inside 505 Central Food Hall. Taste of Love owner and chef Kayla Vallejos combined her love for green chile and her Italian roots to open a food truck during the pandemic. The Italian/New Mexican restaurant is set to open next week. (KOAT New Mexico)
  3. Albuquerque city officials are handing out about 80,000 at-home COVID-19 tests in areas that were determined to be most in need. Distribution of the tests, made available by the federal government, has begun in areas of high social vulnerability. The city currently has 25 locations designated for distribution, such as community centers, libraries, and local organizations. (U.S. News & World Report)

  • Two men are in police custody in connection to the January 24 homicide of Sihui Fang at her massage parlor. 19-year-old Juan Carlos Hernandez and 18-year-old Jorge Rivera-Ramirez are both in custody. (Facebook)
  • Santa Fe Fire Department's firefighters are gearing up to volunteer with National Dance Institute this year for several performances in May. For some fire personnel, this will be their 17th year volunteering with the community program. (Instagram)
  • Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society is hosting its annual human blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 12 at the shelter. Each blood donation can save up to three lives. (Facebook)
