Here are the top three stories today in Albuquerque:
- Albertsons Market and the Roadrunner Food Bank are partnering for a statewide fundraising campaign. The "Donate-at-the-Register" campaign will be at all Albertsons Markets collecting funds to address food insecurity in New Mexico. Shoppers can donate up to $100 towards the fundraising campaign at the register. (KRQE News 13)
- The Albuquerque Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Information are working together to locate two bank robbery suspects. The two suspects robbed Western Commerce Bank on Wyoming Blvd on Jun. 14. The Bureau is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers immediately. (KRQE News 13)
- The City of Albuquerque has announced a plan to install three new mobile speed cameras. The monitoring devices will be placed along Lead, Coal, and Unser. The cameras will be moved along that corridor regularly to address the notorious speeding issue that has led to numerous deaths over the years. Albuquerque is reportedly the worst in the country in pedestrian safety. (KOB 4)
