Here are the top stories today in Albuquerque:

  1. If you're still looking to vote early in the 2021 November election, now is the time. Twenty early voting locations opened across Bernalillo County on Saturday, Oct. 16. Residents say they hope more voters will do their part, especially when it comes to the future of their own community. (KOAT New Mexico)
  2. 2-year-old Diana McGrory was honored by dozens at Sister Cities Park Saturday. The vigil was not hosted by the family, but by those who heard her tragic story. It was Oct. 1 when officers arrived to the northeast Albuquerque home and found Diana without a pulse. Both Diana's father and grandmother have been charged with child abuse resulting in great bodily harm or death. (KOB)
  3. President Biden specifically mentioned Albuquerque's efforts to provide community-based programs to stop violence before it starts during his peace officer memorial speech on Saturday. (KRQE News 13)
