Here are the top stories in Albuquerque today:

  1. Incumbent Tim Keller has a sizable lead over his challengers in the homestretch of the Albuquerque mayor's race and may be poised to win a second term without a runoff, according to a new Journal Poll. Over half of the city's likely voters – 53% – say they already have or would vote for Keller, more than the two other candidates on the ballot combined. Bernalillo County Sheriff Manuel Gonzales polled at 20%, while radio host Eddy Aragon is at 13%.
    Results of the poll, conducted by Albuquerque-based Research & Polling Inc., show 12% of voters remain undecided. (Albuquerque Journal)
  2. Mothers Against Drunk Driving held its annual fundraising walk in person for the first time since the pandemic started. Hundreds of people walked Saturday to support efforts to end drunk driving. In New Mexico last year, 145 people were killed in alcohol-related crashes. (KOB)
  3. One of Albuquerque's oldest theaters is officially back open. The Lobo Theater was a church for nearly twenty years, but now it's once again being used for its original purpose – entertainment. (KRQE News 13)
  4. About 50 volunteers helped lead a massive clean-up of the historic Fairview Cemetery. (KRQE News 13)
  5. Residents in northwest Albuquerque are worried a man caught exposing himself on camera could make another unwanted appearance. (KOB)
