Community Centers are open for students K-8 from 7:30 – 5:30. Each center has a 45 student limit. Parents must register at play.cabq.gov

  • All Child Development Centers are operating their normal schedules.
  • Each Health and Social Service Center is open 8 am – 5 pm.
  • Providing lunch for all enrolled students at each Community Center.
  • Providing breakfast and lunch for all enrolled students at each Child Development Center.

Westside Emergency Housing Center

  • Open 24/7
  • Begin pre-screening at shelter today (3/16/20).
  • Planning to begin pre-screening at loading locations (Coronado, Steelbridge, God’s Warehouse) tomorrow (3/17/20).
  • Protective gear still needed.
  • Will use one POD for isolation.
  • Wanting hotel vouchers for isolation.
  • Providing Shelf ready meals. Transportation running in and out of town. Working with APS Title 1 to provide grab and go meals and delivering dinner meals M-F. Weekends regular shelf meals are being provided.

  • Community Centers are closed for all adult programing, adult activities, and rentals.

Help Feed the Homeless

  • People who would like to prepare/purchase meals and or snacks for the those who are staying at the City’s homeless shelter (WEHC) can sign up at gov/mealservice. There are several time slots available and they will not be required to deliver any food to the shelter. FCS can help facilitate the delivery of meals.

Rental Assistance

People wanting to help folks who cannot pay their rent can donate to our City’s Health and Social Services Centers who will distribute monies to those needing rental assistance. Checks can be made payable to: FCS Health and Social Services.
