Letter To Albuquerque Constituents From Councilor Cynthia Borrego
"I would like to reach out to you during this challenging time to assure you that, together, we will get through the health situation."
Dear District 5 Constituents,
I would like to reach out to you during this challenging time to assure you that, together, we will get through the health situation. I am sensitive to the uncertainty our society is facing regarding the COVID-19 Virus. I fully support our Governor and Mayor’s policies to 'Stay In', and practice social distancing. At this time, it is critical to practice social distancing and stay at home, unless you are in an essential service job. Other cities are experiencing critical mass of COVID-19 numbers in their populations, while New Mexico and Albuquerque are only seeing the tip of the iceberg. Social distancing, staying at home, and frequently washing your hands are essential right now! Please protect yourself and others from the virus. I encourage you to call your neighbors and loved ones, and find SAFE ways to support local businesses. I am providing the following updates and resources to help answer some of your COVID-19 (coronavirus) related questions:
