🌱 Man Arrested For Kidnapping + New COVID Protocols At The Pit

Here are the top stories in Albuquerque today:

  1. A man was arrested after police say he kidnapped his daughter at gunpoint. After pulling a gun out on his wife, Jeremiah Maria kidnapped his daughter and stole his wife's care, according to documents. He's facing multiple charges, including child abuse, possession, and auto theft. (KRQE News 13)
  2. At about 9 p.m. Friday, police responded to a call about a fatal crash in Northeast Albuquerque. Police say a person is dead after running in front of a pickup truck. Authorities believe speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors, and the truck had a green light at the time of the crash. (Albuquerque Journal)
  3. The University of New Mexico is practicing new COVID protocols at The Pit because of an increase in COVID cases and the spread of Omicron. At the men's basketball game on Saturday, fans had to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test at The Pit. (KRQE News 13)
