🌱 NM Lawmaker Apologizes After DUI + Wheels Up For Urban Art

  1. A New Mexico lawmaker has apologized after her DUI arrest earlier this week. Democratic State Rep. Georgene Louis accepted responsibility for what she calls a "lapse in judgment," after being booked at the Santa Fe County Jail Monday morning. The Republican Party has called for her resignation; however, Representative Louis has yet to respond to this request. (Albuquerque Patch)
  2. Want to check out the best art Albuquerque has to offer? Take the Urban Art Bike Tour. The tour was designed to attract adventurous tourists who are looking for a unique and colorful way to explore the city. Viewers will pedal through Albuquerque and see over 30 locally-crafted murals, public arts, and unique architectural buildings. (KRQE News 13)
  3. An Albuquerque resident is wanted by police for involvement in a weekend shooting. A warrant is out for the arrest of Kaya Brown, who allegedly showed up at a house party at Montgomery and San Mateo early Saturday morning and shot another guest, Ryan White, after an altercation. Brown is currently facing an open count of murder. (KRQE News 13)
