🌱 NM U.S. Senator Suffers Stroke + Albuquerque Snowfall

  1. The Albuquerque Police Department has arrested a man in connection with the Aztec Road homicide in 2021. Sebastian Garcia, 22 years of age, was taken into custody and charged with one count of murder. Police believe Garcia killed Darin Gonzales at an apartment after Police consulted with a witness. (KOB)
  2. New Mexico U.S. Senator Den Ray Lujan has been hospitalized following a stroke. He is currently at the University of New Mexico Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, according to officials. The 49-year-old Senator checked himself into the hospital after feeling dizzy and tired. (Albuquerque Patch)
  3. Shoplifting at a local sporting goods store results in a shooting. The incident occurred at Sportsman's Warehouse on Renaissance where Albuquerque Police responded to the theft of fourteen ammo boxes by three individuals. One of the suspects shot a gun into the air after pointing it at two employees. Police are asking the community to provide any information they may have about the shooting. (KRQE News 13)
  4. Get your shovels, because Albuquerque may experience some snow soon! KOAT meteorologist Eric Green is calling for snow with the potential to last until Thursday afternoon. Thursday morning the heaviest snowfall should move south of I-40 and cold temperatures will remain in the air over the weekend. (KOAT New Mexico)
