Here are the top three stories in Albuquerque today:

  1. U.S. Sen. Ben Ray Luján is set to return to the United States Senate in four to six weeks. The United States Senator suffered a stroke last week and was hospitalized at the UNM Hospital in Albuquerque. The Senator's absence is seen as an inconvenience for an administration who was looking to nominate a new U.S. Supreme Court nominee by the end of the month. (Albuquerque Patch)
  2. The Albuquerque Police Department in coordination with the FBI is searching for a man who is accused of attempted bank robbery. The incident occurred on Feb. 2 inside the Walmart Supercenter at 301 San Mateo SE in the evening. The man they are searching for has been identified to be white, in his late 20's to early 30's, heavy build, and around 5'8" tall wearing a dark tracksuit with gold stripes. (KRQE News 13)
  3. Due to severe winter weather, trash pickup across the City of Albuquerque is on a one-day delay. All three convenience centers and the Cerro Colorado Landfill were closed yesterday in response to the weather. Additionally, the City of Albuquerque's non-essential services were closed and are set to reopen today. (KRQE News 13)
