- A local restaurant is pitching in to help a devastated family grappling with the loss of their heroic son. Jacob Elliot owns The Farmacy in Nob Hill and he and his staff wanted to do something for the family of Xaven Garcia, the teen who died running back into his burning home to save his family. The restaurant is donated 100% of its profits from Thursday to Xaven's family for funeral expenses, rebuilding costs, or whatever else they need as they pick up the pieces from the fire. - A lawsuit has been filed by the estate of Bennie Hargrove. The estate is going after Washington Middle School, the school's principal, Albuquerque Public Schools, the school board, and Juan Saucedo Jr.'s parents. Hargrove family attorneys claim the school and district were negligent in Hargrove's death. The lawsuit shows the school's principal, Modesta Herrera Hernandez, knew about the gun prior to the shooting and did nothing about it.(KOAT Albuquerque)
- At least one UNM official is questioning whether it's time to start checking the vaccination status of fans entering The Pit. (KOB)
- Students at an Albuquerque charter school have been out of the classroom for weeks but not due to COVID-19. (KOB)
- The Albuquerque Little Theatre is presenting its adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens story, "A Christmas Carol". (KRQE News 13)
